A mall revitalization that was constrained by strict city codes which required creative thinking and execution to achieve the designer’s vision. The main identity pylon sign which can be seen off the 91 freeway had to utilize existing steel structures to comply with the current city codes. By utilizing stylized pole covers and unique attachment methods, the result was the look of a brand new pylon sign while being compliant with the stringent city codes. In addition to the typical pedestrian/parking directional and primary identification signage, we provided fabrication of a group of custom architecturally designed vision screens for the parking structure. This interesting design element was constructed from aluminum and perforated sheet that had been custom painted with the mall’s logo colors and designs.
